Distica bales plastic and cardboard

Distica has set ambitious goals in environmental matters, like the Veritas group as a whole. Distica is now baling plastic and cardboard and the baled plastic goes to an environmentally friendly recycling at Pure North Recycling, that recycles plastic with environmentally friendly sources of energy. Pure North Recycling is also Distica‘s advisor in garbage sorting.

Distica’s pride in garbage sorting is the warehouse at Midhraun, where 80% of all garbage is sorted. Only 20% is left unsorted, which is one of the lowest proportions among companies in Iceland.
